Hey I am posting this to ask how to install mods onto minecraft on Linux Mint 17, I have tried multiple ways but all of them have not worked, plz help!

Also, if you know how to change the splash text on Linux Mint 17 then I would love to know!

There are also a variety of launchers available for ModPacks which if they have a .jar version should work fine in GNU/Linux

Hi! nice to see another fellow GNU/Linux user.

This splash text you are talking about, I'm not sure which version of Mint you have.

To find your Minecraft directory it should be in the home directory.

If you are using cinnamon or MATE you can press control+h to show hidden folders, your .minecraft folder should be visible. In there if you run forge at least once you should find a mods folder. install your mods there.

I know how to change the color of typed Minecraft words, if that's what you mean. Just do &[# or some letters may work] and type your word(s) (ex. &aHi! Whats up) You can experiment :3
