So when I play tekkit and I lag or randomly it closes out of tekkit and leaves an error thing on my desktop, I run out of memory when I lag or randomly and sometimes it will make me see where I was in tekkit, I would like to use Shpax pure BDcraft but I crash and run out of memory more often.

Thanks for reading this and helping me

Check if your computer has a 64-bit OS and if it does, download 64-bit java to work alongside the 32-bit java installation. (this worked for me, the new technic launcher only let me set my memory to 1 GB when i have 8 GB before getting 64-bit java)

Btw it's not tekkit running out of memory it's your coming go to your start menu right click on "My Computer" go to "Advanced" click the first setting tab you see in there

In performance option click "Advanced" the click on "Change" click "Custon-Size"
look below and find out what is recommended

there you go that should fix it if it doesn't then i don't know!

Don't ever, ever, ever use SphaxPureBD. Its a giant texture pack that requires almost 2 extra GB's of RAM to run, especially on Technic. If you got the idea from the Yogscast, know that they can afford any new gear they need.

I recommand switching to FTB. FTB supports the moddes and it's genrally better too. But if you still wanna play tekkit, simply allocate more memory to it. I belive tekkit has the option to do that, atleast FTB has it.

Redownload it. Still, FTB has a easy slider used to configurate the RAM used by FTB, so that's very easy. FTB also has the same mods as tekkit. FTB's official website is here
