I have been thinking of many things lately, and would like to express some of my thoughts here. I have been a DataPack creator for over a year now and it is clear to me that this can be made into a "job". How you may ask? commissions for content creators. The problem I see in working with content creators though, is that you will always be making DataPacks of same kind, eg challenge datapacks, until the trend dies. Also the minecraft community would not be able to play those DataPacks as they aren't public.

Sometimes I feel like making my own team of DataPack creators and map-makers and make the best content possible, the problem is here that the reach PMC has (for the DataPack community) is solely made up by google searches and YouTubers using creator's DataPacks and leaving links. I try to one-up myself when planning for the next DataPack and sometimes its just takes too much time. Currently I don't have the time or resources to create a team dedicated to making good content for java minecraft, but in the future [​if I get time] I would like to make such a team.

When I play maps created by others I get several ideas that I can implement functionally and cosmetically but each time I try to create a custom map, I am reminded that it might flop and the time spent would be wasted.



I have also thought about launching a YouTuber like LogDotZip launched Craftee with his team, who would be like the front man of the team, would get to review and play the content we create first. It might be too ambitious but its something I want to do .

Anyways these are some random thoughts I had in past month of not making DataPacks.
