Does any one know what the hell is up with this lower level pervasive black fog? I mean it makes seeing anything in the lower levels of the game nearly impossible to see. (Block 1 trough about 15)

I love it, it's a very nice effect. It makes it feel more menacing to be deep underground. It also helps you gauge how deep you are without using f3, and i find f3 to be an annoying and immersion breaking button lol.
Ya nice effect, but it would be nice to be able to turn it on or off. All we need now is creepy music to play when your down in the depths. Or perhaps an occasional "predator" pure. That always creeped me out when playing the old Atari Jaguar version of Alien Vs Predator. (Best AvsP game of all time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien_vs_P ... ar_game%29 )

It's called the void. It's the area below the bedrock and if somehow you fall through you die. It used to be blue.
He's not talking about the void. He stated it was from block 1 to about 15. The last time I checked, thats ABOVE the void.
Yeah I have seen it too, it comes when you get closer to bedrock.
