Blaze spawner out of the nether? Will it work?
I have a question about a blaze spawner. Is it possible to bring a blaze spawner out of the nether and place it down. Will it work out of the nether or not? If it does, can you place the blaze spawner under water? I am just curious if it will work or not. I was thinking of making a blaze farm near my house, so it will be easier to get the blaze rods. Thanks for those who answer my questions

Ya it will work if you can set it to spawn them
EVEN with the SILKIERTOUCH plug in that allows you to gether , ICE, SPAWNERS, AND FIRE again.....it will NOT work, the spawner will GO PIG on you.....that is all....

Just make the farm in the nether... That would be hard though... How about... Making a closed room with dispensers firing snowballs... And when you flip a switch, the dispensers should stop firing and the spawn room should be lighted... Blazes can only spawn in light <12. Maybe make pistons pull away a block to expose glowstone or something...
You can kill Blazes with snowballs?
Yeah, water and snowballs... And melee attacks of course You can make a lot of snow golems and make them grind the spawning blazes...

you cannot move spawners with silk touch,

You need mcedit. Just place a spawner and you can choose what mob you want it to spawn. And blazes can fly and shoot fireballs so be careful.
Is there any way to do it in survival mode?

sadly i doubt that will work last i remembered pistons cant move spawners
Is that possible? If it is it would be pretty hard to move it without making the blazes spawn.
ugh... guys it is so simple! just get toomanyitems and edit the config file and you can have blaze spawners everywhere. or get risugams's spawner gui mod that lets you pick up spawners and change what it spawns!
I am playing in survival not creative in a server. So what you said wouldn't be possible.
It will work if you somehow with cheats place it out of nether, but theres probably no way you could get the spawner legitemately, except with silk touch.
So can you take the blaze spawner and move it next to your nether portal? Will that work since its in the nether still? Or will it not spawn any blaze's since you took it out?

you cannot obtain a spawner anymore, the silk touch enchantment has been changed.
