I don't really have a name for a sword, but I did have a stick on a server one time I dubbed "Beatin' Stick". It had some cool sword enchantments, though for the life of me, I can't remember them.

I named my wooden sword "forget me stick" however I left it in the chest in exchange for a diamond sword I named "ryu no kiba" which is japanese for dragon's fang.

oh and my bow is named, "Arashi taka" which is japanese for storm falcon

On PVPTEK mine is named Fat Betty Enchants are flame 2 sharp V smite V knockback 3 looting 3 and one more but i forget lol...an admin gave it to me ...i have another bow with Infinity 1 Flame 3 Power V and the knockback thing 3

I have named my diamond sword Notch's Fury. I used it to kill the enderdragon and improved the enchants with the ensuing XP shower. It now has the best of everything, using smite. Yes, this was legit. I got lucky and only lost a few swords.

My OP diamond sword in creative mode is called "Baneblade" (literally, with the anvil thingy)(any WarHammer fans will get this reference).
My first iron sword on this server I play on is... is... gone. It was stolen in a raid (long story short, its a temporary server without protections). It was named Barbusa (bar-BOO-sah)(not with the anvil, obviously, since its gone).
