I opened my minecraft launcher and it said

1.8.2 is a graphics/glitch/bug update. Same thing as 1.8.1, just.. slightly faster and more compatible with the new launcher.

It's probably just a bug fix update. Mojang does it a lot with MC nowadays, since there's really nasty bugs and stuff that need to be fixed.
