Welp,hello,i am LegoStepper76 and this is my step-by-step guide for Minecraft Brewing
1.First things first,you gotta kill some blazes for blaze rods,they are the key ingredient.
2.Separe one blaze rod and transform the others into Blaze Powder,It will be good for you,new alchemist.
3.Create a Brewing Stand with 3 Cobblestone and the Blaze Rod you separated earlier.If you are in the World of Color Update or above (1.12),you can use the crafting recipe book.
4.Find a desert,collect sand and smelt the sand into glass in a Furnace (you can use smokers and Blast Furnaces if you're in the Village And Pillage Update).
5.Create a Glass Bottle with 3 glass and collect water with it.There is no potion without what leads to it.
6.Find a Nether Fortress and collect Nether Wart.Then put Blaze Powder as fuel,a Nether Wart and the Water Bottles to make THE ANKWARD POTION.
7.After you've created a ankward potion,take one of the items below to make each potion

Sugar=Speed
Rabbit's Foot=Jump Boost
Blaze Powder=Strength
Glistering Melon=Instant Healing
Spider Eye=Poison
Ghast Tear=Regeneration
Magma Cream=Fire Ressistance
Pufferfish=Water Breathing
Golden Carrot=Night Vision
Phantom Membrane (1.14+)=Slow Falling
You can change most effects with a Fermented Spider Eye,You can make it Splash Potions with a Gunpowder,And boost it with Redstone.
