I haven't been playing minecraft much recently but I heard 1.8 was released and I decided to check it out. After I created a new world, there was an overwhelming amount of flowers EVERYWHERE. I was just wondering if there was a mod to remove some of them?

the flowers make the world seem more populated. If you would like to get rid of them a bucket of water should do the trick.
A tad too many, yeah.. But the rest of 1.8 is great
Flowers give me more opportinity to decorate my houses and make things look better. If you don't want flowers, just play a different version! It's good for nostalgia every now and then.
Yes because the amount of flowers really deduct from the fun of the game, its called environment and surroundings.
You're right. I play on 1.7 or 1.6 because There are too many flowers. But if any Mojang employees are reading this I would love it if they just stuck to Roses and Dandelions. Trust me, Minecraft was more fun without all the changes in 1.8.

MrMarioTime123 is right.Flowers are great!You can also use them to decorate your house and some to put in flower pots,and also some for a garden/farm so yeah don't be that mean to the flowers,they are great!
All of the new flowers were added in 1.7, and I'm not sure why you would want to remove some of the flowers! Flowers are life
