Minecraft as an RPG?

How do you think Minecraft could be turned into an RPG without changing too much of the core elements (crafting, building, etc) (or) How would you add a storyline to Minecraft if it needed one?
You can use other games as inspiration, or you can make something up on the top of your head, go nuts!!!
For a story, I would have it that the Ender Dragon King sent minions (creepers, skeletons etc) in response to a prophecy of a savior to the people (you). You thus are given quests to prepare yourself and to find the Ender Portal to enter into the End Realm to kill the Ender Dragon King.

Ok do something tough like a mod named Skyblock ender scrolls IV and then have at the beginng you pick a race and crap like skyrim

notch intended upon making minecraft somewhat rpg like but it doesnt really show it too well, many of the things added in the full release are nice and rpgish but i do feel an actual story would be nice, as to what it could be, i havent a clue lol

In mah story just before U spawn, U are on a boat croosing the sea.... suudddenly a person on the crows deck shouts "ITS HIM!" every0ne turns and sees Herobrine on top of the enderdragon with israphel at his side, 100 creeepers, 300 enderman, and Notch trying to fight them.... suddenly Notch is killed, and the enderdragon crashes the boat..... later U wake up on the beach, and swear to save Ur friends which the enderdragon took away to make them slaves in the end....... {U play minecraft} when U get to The End and kill the Enderdragon, U find Ur friends and also Notch..... Gameplay will continue but now Ur friends live with U.... eventuallly Everybody has children, U die and play as Ur child, then again and again except Notch doesnt die, he also builds epic stuff........................... THE END
