So I'm playing on the latest snapshot of Minecraft, And I leave the keyboard for a moment, opening up my crafting menu before I do so, and when I return, a few single fires seemed to appear from nowhere scattered about the plains around the village I took my dwelling in.

The village is located in the middle of a flatland biome, surrounded by a forest on one side, a taiga on the other, and a river on another, further side of it. Oh, and as well as a swamp, which was quite far from the actual village. WHAT COULD THIS MEAN?!
