RANDOM GLASS TOWER MINECRAFT 1.9 PRE RELEASE 3?
I just wanted to show you guys a really wierd thing on a new, just spawned, world. its a really wierd glass tower thing. i used dirt to build my way up it and it just stops at the top of the map. i haven't dug down beside it yet, but i think it goes down to the bottom.
any ideas?

Yes, back before the word spread about what they are. Some people just make it a habit to be unpleasant.
They just forgot to remove them...
I found one too, and it led to a stronghold. I doubt they will still be there in the final release.

Maybe Notch wants to show us where the strongholds are, because they're hard to find, but I don't know why there are two glass-towers.
btw. Did you notice that (in the new laucher) the text under 1.6, 1.7 and 1.8 says
'* Removed Herobrine' at the end? That kinda makes me sick. you can even see Herobrine in the Wedding Weekend- and MINECON-logo?

I dug down and they bring you to strongholds
Ok lemme try to explain this as best as i can...the glass towers mean you have found your stronghold congratz. the crystal rooms with the silver fish spawners are poratals you gota get eyes of ender to repair the broken crystals(right click the broken like crystals) im not sure how to activate these things but all i know is that they go up to the skylands...i dont think these things are breakable they might im not sure... so i hope i helped you guys...
Use eye of enderman to repair the broken ones, however it can't be activated yet.
MY question is: what's up with the crystal rooms in the strongholds with the silverfish spawners? has anyone been able to break the crystals? iron pickaxes don't work, and I didn't have my diamond one with me at the time.
Apparently they will be the portal to the sky world...

They were left behind in the code accidentally. They are for debugging purposes. A glass tower marks a stronghold. (as you can imagine, the programmers want to be able to find strongholds with ease without spending hours searching for one).

Anywho, I think it's just an outline for a future building that may be generated later on in 1.9. Maybe like an above-ground dungeon of sorts.
