Server Idea: Pixelmon Champions

Hello all, Recently, I have been thinking of something big. You see, I quite enjoy pixelmon and the servers that have the capability. I have just created my own pixelmon server to cater to the wants and needs of other pixelmoners. Oftentimes, I see on other Pixelmon servers things that no one likes or think rules are too restrictive. Also, I noticed that there isn't much excitement when it comes to these servers. All I see are going to town to town to beat Gym Leaders and Elite 4/Champion. Well, my server, Pixelmon Champions, changes all that. Here's the description below:
This server is different from other pixelmon servers because of several new aspects I have introduced. One such aspect is the form of battling. Frequently, in other such servers, players deem status moves in gym and league battles illegal, such as confusion, paralysis, and so on. But here, all moves are allowed. But wait, why would I do this if it would delay out battles for waiting players? This issue would be solved by having two gym leaders or Elite 4, etc. cycling a gym or League together at certain times to lower wait times on this new battle mechanism. Another new aspect I have in mind is the form of entertainment. In almost all pixelmon servers I have visited, I've noticed that there is nothing to keep players busy. Sure, you have battles with other trainers and gyms, but that is all. I propose to introduce entertainment to keep players on this server not just for pixelmon, but for having fun and building friendships. Such entertainments include casinos, amusement parks (small), Pixelmon tournaments, and hotels, just to name a few. A third new aspect I thought of was region diversity. In some servers, there is such linearity when it comes to regions. You go to one town, and just follow the path to the next, and so on and on. But here, on this server, regions are incredibly diverse, with paths that lead to multiple towns at once. For example, Avalon City, one of the city names I thought of, will lead to 4 different settlements at once. In terms of diversity, three regions were thought of in the planning stages. The first region is Korre, with mixed biomes. The second is Nashay, with a theme of tropical islands in the middle of the sea. Finally, is Suliuq, which is barren lands (deserts and plains, etc.) The extreme amount of variety and thought in the regions will prompt people to come to this server and enjoy what all these regions have to offer.
Legends: In many servers I have encountered, there is no underlying legends that players can explore concerning legendary pokemon. The mysteries of the Unown will be involved, and I am currently plotting a storyline with the legendary bird trio. Now, all players can be involved with this, and it will come down to who reaches them first. A hint involving the bird trio involves the regions. Remember there are three planned regions with certain biomes (hint hint). All will have keys and clues tying in to the myths of this pixelmon server world. Other legends will be explored as well to give players a sense of accomplishment and excitement in these mysteries.
Also: Safari Zones and Battle Frontiers will be planned out as well.
I want the community's opinion on this. Please, comment below and give me your opinions and ideas on this server. I want what is best for everyone and their wishes. Does this server seem good enough for you to play on? Would you play this server? Please let me know in comments so I can create a good enough player base to show a host of this server. I want the community's support, so to do this, I need your help and to spread the word around.

Update:
A pokemon daycare idea is now being implemented: you will come and give a pokemon through trade to the staff moderating the daycare. You will pay in-game money for them to raise your pokemon to the level you want them to be at. When you come to pick them up, trade your pokemon back with what the staff gave you.

People like legendaries.
Make the starters custom and give everyone a lvl 20 legend to get them hooked on the server when they start.

Hello.
I am aware that people love legendaries, including myself . However, I don't think it's quite right to just hand whoever comes on this server a free lvl 20 legendary. As I stated in my original post, I am creating a storyline to get legendaries, you have to work for them. Pixelmon is all about reaching your goals and having fun. Just being forked over things does not make it rewarding. That is just my opinion. However, I assure everybody that there will be chances for you to get legendaries, you just have to reach them first!
As for starters, I think that they are fine. I do not want to tamper around with an already great mod. The area around Avalon City has every type of plain pokemon appearing all over the place. I swear that I counted at least 30 different ones in the vicinity of Avalon City alone.
However, I will consider adding a starter pack when people embark on their adventure. It is still in the works.

UPDATE!!! I have gained a sponsor for this server!! MCSponsor has decided to sponsor this server. I will be communicating with them the next few days with details. Build has been put on hold for now until Pixelmon 3.1.0 comes out, since I will be upgrading the server to 1.7.2. Check http://pixelmonmod.com/ for details on how far they have come. They are almost done updating. Meanwhile, I will be posting polls on here on designs for gyms and towns to keep us occupied. Don't worry guys, build will start again soon!

Yes, that is what I guessed. To me, "almost done" means 1-4 weeks. That will give me enough time to set the server up with my sponsor.

Good concept on your cute little server. I was curious why you would trust a company that shut down after 4 months of being open? That's not including the "clause" they have about being sponsored.

Actually. To "clarify" it's not 2 different companies. It's the SAME company. One is just a blog and the other is a website and if that is not the case. One of them can sue for name rights. Ironic how it's the same type of company with the same exact name yet you're claiming it's two completely different companies.

On my PMC thread, I specifically said that I was not related to the blogspot.

1. I was not aware in the first place that there was a MCSponsr that closed 4 months ago
2. I am not "very" young, just nearly 16.
3. I am not "naive". I did not see the standard clause in their contract. I read their terms when I applied, and there was nothing that stated it had to be up to their standards, rather, just to keep then informed on server progress. I am aware of what could happen, and as I stated, I have my server files on backup, I always have a spare copy on me.
4. I cannot pay for my own server, I do not have the ability to use credit/PayPal, etc.
I will ask MCSponsor about this issue to help clarify this. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Update: Due to the Pixelmon 3.1.0 update, I will have to move the server to 1.7.2. However, this makes the world I have been working on so far redundant. The world was saved with Forge 1.6.4. Pixelmon 3.1.0 is moving up to Forge 1.7.2. Because of that, items that were already saved on that world are now interfering in the server running. To put things short, I have to make another whole new world, unless anyone has any suggestions/ideas on how I can possibly update the world?

Not an issue. Search up a video but I think all you need to do is load the world. You'll have the blocks just no new biome until unexplored chunks but you can set biomes with world edit.

What I just realized is that the world is already saved with pixelmon, I need the pixelmon 3.1.0 update to the world. Once that is applied, the world will update to 1.7.2, because the current pixelmon update is only compatible with 1.6.4. That is my conclusion after reading my server cmds and log errors. The server is fine with mcpc by itself on 1.7.2, but when pixelmon 3.0.4 is in, it crashes because it is not compatible with 1.7.2

Well yes, but you can work on the world in 1.6.4 and just add 1.7 blocks after.

No offense, I really don't want to come off as rude here. Your concept is great, and I was hooked until I saw your screenshots. Usually server owners don't build their own things. For a server that sounds like it would be big, you need high quality builds. The ones you've made wouldn't want people to stay on the server.

PizzaPenguin, thank you for your review. It does make sense to me. These shots were made when I first started the server, think of them as "beta" testing to see whether they would work or not. I was waiting on community opinion such as yours to find out whether people would like it or not. Since these screenshots, I have amassed about 8 builders with some experience. We will be working on more high quality stuff soon. What sort of things do you want to see? I want to know.

That looks awesome. It seems that it is defined by a texture pack. Anyway, I am going to allow the head gym leaders to build their gyms, with help from the builders, of course.

Update: The Steel Elite 4 Position has been taken. The grass Elite 4 app will still be open until this afternoon, then I will decide. 2 people have already applied for grass, so hurry up! Don't forget to apply for gym leaders too.

Update: The server was worked on today by myself and several other builders. I created a new world in order to update to 1.7.2 and get a fresh start. All I can say is that the hub is coming along very nicely! It's bigger than the last one, and has a lot more content in it. Riviera City has also begun, as well as work on the Electric gym. I will post screenshots of the hub when it is done, either tomorrow or friday.

Update: Added TimNM as tentative Grass Elite 4 and Builder. Hub is almost done! Electric gym is halfway there and rivere city is making progress, now has a poke center and a daycare. Screenshots coming soon.
