Endermen dont bother me....there sounds do but they dont. There just very shy and dont like to be looked at. Same way creepers just want a hug but get mad because they dont have arms and cant hug back.
endermen arn't scary they just want hugs, thats why their arms are streched out to you. the only reason they hurt you is bcuz you dont HUG THEM JERK

Ender pearls are not trash.They can be used to protect you from endermen...but I think they havnt added the protection yet...
no........... diamonds WERE a place holder.if they drop diamonds in 1.8 that means Mojang is still trying to find a replacement for the diamonds.
