The ore has been in the game for awhile, however, Mojang hasn't really provided any fantastic or special use for it. Yeah it has its decoration purposes, but nothing game-changing. You guys have any ideas?

I personally wish Mojang would add more aesthetic things like the Lapis block. Like some simple mobs, maybe some squirrels, birds, or even butterflies. Just something to "prettify" the minecraft world. Also, it would be amazing to have custom sounds for them. I know there's resource packs, but I don't like modding minecraft, as I feel it's not fair because it's not the way other players will see or hear it.

On the server that I play on, it is used as a protection stone.

Maybe little Lapis Stones, that are possibly throw-able would be awesome! And if thrown right they can hop on water Also have it in the scoreboard system maybe

I mean, you could possibly use it for magic or for potions. Like for a certain ability (idk exactly what). Thats my idea.
