Now that 1.2 has been released it seems like we're getting hints of what is to come in future updates, so I just wanted to ask: what are you hoping will be added/changed in future updates? Personally, I'm really intrigued by the sandstone grid blocks and am REALLY hoping we'll be getting ruins of some sort (desert ruins? Abandoned ruins?). Maybe some sort of ancient civilization aspect will be added?

A couple more biomes, Maybe more random generated stuff, And some new redstone type stuff. I really want a real rainforest biome with too many vines and bushes to see. Exotic fruit and animals.
Me and a friend were talking about this earlier! Anyways, I think it would be the greatest thing ever if the different logs gave different colored planks. Like regular logs gave regular planks, dark logs gave dark planks, etc. etc. It would definitely add more design aspects with flooring
More bosses, Like if you kill the Ender Dragon, you get an ancient artifact or something, after that you don't finish the game, You have to go to the Nether and kill a boss there, (Nether Dragon?), and then something begins to happen in the over world, Maybe the Nether portal begins leaking out netherrack and infecting the land. Water into Lava, Grass into netherrack, stuff like that, and the 3rd boss would be there. You kill it, and then a portal appears and all of the artifacts go into slots and you go to the Skylands and do something, Then finish the game.
Other then that, Gloves would be cool, and so would two handed weapons.

They should make tornadoes, toilets, like things you do in real life
make the world POPULATED with npcs that r rude ,friendly,stalker, and that u can have babies wiht somone else and make these npcs build huge citys unlike the original npcs and that u can talk to them choosing ur own words it would be so cool like maybe one npc is a thief but another is a cop and there is a jail u can get sent to if u steal so epic
Don't expect that for a while though, that's probably going to take awhile. It'll add more fun though, like if you can break out of jail
More animals like the Mo'Creatures mod but official and permanent animals like bears,deer,birds,sharks/sealife.
Yes! I've been suspecting that we're going to be getting more biome-specific animals in the future, so I totally think, like, bears in pine forest biomes could happen. Polar bears in tundra, anyone?

Thinking about it, I sort of wish there was a way to store exp orbs that you've gained. I know this would nerf enhancing for a lot of people, but for the life of me I can never make it past level ~20 without dying a horrible and/or hilarious death.
More realisct animations and blood and MOSTLY a crowbar and guns oh and smart movement to Jump on mobs (and yes I Am very violent)
Mo creatures, would be pretty cool and would add minecraft more popularity in my opinion.

I would like a less standard boss... like a raid on a creeper factory or something. instead of the worn out dragon fight.

Interesting weather/natural disasters would definitely be a fun addition. Maybe as a feature you could switch on and off at world generation, like naturally generated structures.

Agree With above, smart moving would be really cool:) and also i think it would be cool if you could find special, non-cartable weapons w/ unquie items and texture and mabey even unquie enchantments (I think a staff would be cool.) These could be found in dungeons and fortresses. These wouldn't be one-time things but they would be rares, kinda like a saddle. I think that would be cool. Also, I hope Jeb focuses on multiplayer advancments (not technical wise) But what i've come to see is that Jeb is working on alot of the stuff that would only be applicble really in ssp. In SMP a villige would be most likley wiped out for resources by the time u find it.
