What is everyones problem with hamachi??

i have noticed for a while that not alot of people like hamachi. ive heard that it messes up computers but the version i got (logmein hamachi) didnt do a thing to my comp.

i've been hosting MC Servers for about 2 years, and servers in general for 3.
when i want to make a server on my computer if i cant afford a host at the time, i have to port forward for that game.
Port forwarding takes about 1-2 minutes ~_~
Also, your "port forwarding" cant break.As many people have said, you probally screwed something up.No offense.I've never had trouble with port-fowarding, and i've been through plenty of ISPs and Routers.

For some people, their Ipv4 address is not static and have to portforward everytime it changes, whether it be random time mid-day or sometime 2 days later.

Guys, guys, guys! Larvitar uses Hamachi because the server is not even in full "Swing" yet! The server is still currently being worked on and he does not want to release everything yet, so he kinda keeps the server in a low profile! ALSO, I have tried using that goddamn portforward shit, and while I was screwing around on that I screwed up something really bad with my DNS, and now my internet provider wont let me on ANYTHING! NO MINECRAFT GODDAMN SERVER! Nothing works. I figured out I NEED to use hamachi to play on ANYTHING!

#1 i dont care if i get temp banned from this but DID NO ONE FRICKEN SEE THE FACT THAT I USED TO HAVE IT PORT FORWARDED THEREFOR SHOWING THAT I AM NOT LAZY. AND OBVIOUSLY YOU HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN BE A JERK ON PLANETMINECRAFT.

I'm pretty sure that Hamachi makes another ip so that people that join the server won't need to know your ip. So I don't see why is so bad.
(Even tough I use a server hoster/ my forwarded server)

It's not hate if they're providing valid reasons as to why people don't want it, which I should I point out, seems to be the desired answer of the question in the title. I don't know what kind of thing you were expecting from something titled, "what is everyones problem with hamachi??". Call me wierd for thinking this, but expected people to state why they don't like it.

#cheapmyass all of my friends use it to connect to each otheres servers b/c its fast and also sort of adds an extra security to your servers if thier not whitelist b/c even if someone knew your ip they cant join your server without knowing your network info.

i cant port forward. it broke. well strangly i remember that there was a day this year when you couldnt connect to any server for a few hours. thats the day my port forwarding broke. i followed 5 different people and vids to fix it. didnt work. so now i use hamachi which i think is ALOT better.

Port forwarding is a verb. Not a noun. So it can't break. If you're talking about your router or your modem, you wouldn't be here.
It's probably just that you can't find your password for it...
I had that problem once... I eventually guessed and got it... But I didn't know what I typed, so when my IPV4 changed, I was done with the server business...
And Hamachi is annoying. You have to install a program to play on servers. And some people (Me) have very small hard drives (Only 72 GB) who don't want to use up any more space.
However, Hamachi is good for one thing:
People can connect to singleplayer worlds in LAN mode. That way, you can play a minigame without needing to download the server files.

you would need hamachi if the server isnt one of two things.
#1 -hosted by a company such as mcprohosting
#2 -port forwarded from your own router(my port forwarding broke so now i have to use hamachi. #sadface)

Yea well i set it up correctly 5 times and didnt work. hence i said it was broken.
