What happens with creatures trapped in a hollow structure?
Hello
I downloaded Minecraft this week and made my self a world in creative-mode.
In this world i created a giant 3d-statue of Stella from Angry Birds (the classic version, not the movie one).
Similar to this one: angry-birds---massive-red-bird-3d but a bit smaller.
And similar to this, my one is hollow too
While buiding it, i saw bats fly around or sleep under overhanging blocks.
Maybe some of theese bats where still inside the the hollow monument, as i sealed the last holes.
So i have got a question:
What happens with creatures like theese bats, if they are trapped in a hollow structure and there are no more holes in the walls?

Nothing all that special.

They just kinda stay there until you unload the chunk they're in. After which, they despawn.

what is a chunk?

https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Chunk
"Chunks are 16 blocks wide, 16 blocks long, and 256 blocks high, which is 65,536 blocks total. Chunks are generated around players when they first enter the world. As they wander around the world, new chunks are generated as needed."

How big is a whole minecraft-world?

30 million x 30 million blocks as of the newer versions.
I think it was before 1.9 (Correct me if I'm wrong) but back then any minecraft world was techniclly infinite. Problem was that after 30 million blocks, the entire world would become The Far Lands which would just be glitched and un-loaded chunks mashed together.
