What if lapis was replaced with rubys

It wouldn't change me, unless the rubies were able to make tools. That would be cool, or if Emarlds could make tools and armor. :l
Then everyone would complain about the new useless block: Rubies.
If you want a use for lapis, why wouldn't you just give lapise a(nother) use? Why would you make a whole new block?

I wouldn't like it at all, because people always make fun of Lapis, even though it's a good block too. Rubies are overrated as h****
personaly i only think ppl like lapis is becuase its blue and wana talk about things that are blue lol
You can't have Blue wool/Dye, Lapis Blocks, Blue Carpet, Cyan Wool/Dye, Light Blue Wool/Dye...
minecraft would probley make something else blue to make those but if lapis was brown or black or purple it would be like gravel 1.2.5 all over agin
I wouldn't enjoy them replacing it but i would in fact enjoy them adding that and also to be able to craft emerald and ruby armor... crafting emerald armor has always been something I have wanted since i started playing Minecraft. Not for the protection per say but just to wear emerald armor would be pretty
i bet ruby and emerlad armor would have same protection as iron lol
Even though emerald is rarer than diamond. . . ? I think it'd be better if they just had jewelry or something because they already have the weapons and sets of armor, they don't need a whole new tool/weapon/armor.
They're not meant to be. Jeb has stated that they're for trading. Plus, if you look at Diamond, it's just blue. Emerald would be green, not that pretty.

since there is already a red dye i bet rubys would be used for armor and tools that would be mroe usefull then lapis =)
