Any version before the horses-update - I hate them being in Minecraft! (they just doesn't fit into the game that good ...)

Minecraft Alpha

I didn't join in Alpha (I was still collecting money to buy it after the first Beta version came out), but thinking about that time;before it turned into all this adventure-crap; makes me salivate more than thinking about a tender, juicy steak.

Beta 1.7.3, because the community back then was large enough to be interesting but small enough to be friendly .

Back then the community was less about minigames and more about building in survival FreeBuild servers. As a result, it was a lot more social back then. It was Notch's idea of Minecraft. Jeb has turned it into levels and bosses and enchanting, which has really changed the community.

1.3.2 It was the version I started playing with. Nostalgia mainly because THERE ARE NO BATS. THANK GOD. Thats why Iiked 1.3.2. Plus, all the potato and carrot crap, and the villager sounds(they're supposed to be mutes, darnit), and the 1.5 launcher lagging everything.

I just did a huge troll on a server. I spawned like 5000+ bats in one 5x5 dirt house with a guy in it. xD

The first Halloween update which was where they added the nether. This was like alpha somethin and it is the first update that I remember vividly. Noone new about it and all of the big youtube channels talking about updates were nonexistent. Notch didn't really tell anyone about the nether and we only had a couple screenies to go by. It made the game really fun not knowing what was out their and lead to some great memories of figuring things out

Reason = Enchanting wasn't easy. like to enchant you had to get to level 50 and you most likely got smite IV, now it only takes 10mins to get to level 30 and you will prolly get a sharp IV + FIre II

The version just before all the enchantment crap.
Why? It ruined minecraft and made it something it shouldn't be.

I 100% almost agree with you. I think that SOME enchantments were good, but they're going too far with it.
