Will this PC be good for gaming.
Now before I start this topic, I just want to say that I don't want a really good build. I just want to play FTB Lite at 30fps, and vanilla MineCraft at decent frames(40-60). My budget is 500$ leave suggestions.
I want to keep it in the $100-400 range, I can go to $500 though.
Current Build, http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3lv42

with your budget, you could get a decent computer that could run minecraft with atleast 30 fps. i'd suggest going to fry's (if there is one nearby) because they sell em' for real cheap. i got a lenovo for 600$ and it runs minecraft with shaders and 520 texturepacks all day with optifine at max settings. so yeah, a laptop for 100 less would be a really good buy there. they also sell some extra "build your own" stuff there for real cheap. i got a quad processor and recently got one of those gen 4 graphics cards for under 50$ there. all i can say is
sonic ether's is great with sphax.

I looked at your build on PCpartpicker, Switched some things out that in my opinion are slightly better parts. The build is $9.91 above your budget ($509.91 As shown by pcpartpicker.com) but I think you'll get slightly better performance and it will last you a bit longer.

not so sure about PC's but i would suggest a dell that's what i have and i get 120fps
but it depends on ram and storage space but you should use linux ubuntu for an

1TB is faster right?
Hm? 1TB is a size, 7200rpm is a speed.
The toad speaks the truth!
This is more than enough to play minecraft a 60fps.

Also if you can adjust well, I suggest you switching to a lighter OS like Linux. My favorite distro for gaming is Xubuntu.

You can get Windows for free.
You don't need an optical drive, just use a USB to install Windows.
You don't need a sound card because that's only for audiophiles with expensive headphones

Get rid of the sound card and get a better CPU? x3 (Unless you're an audiophile like me, and have a pair of really good headphones (mine don't need a sound card so I don't have one, and they're really good headphones, most headphones that MUST have one are like, 350+ USD...) that preferably need a sound card to unlock it's full and much better potential)
Also that case is really bad.
I feel like you should get Windows 8.1
You don't need a sound card

These parts are crap. To get a quality computer, you will need to spend about 1500-2000 dollars.
He said he would like to spend $100-$400. We don't need you to tell us that is a very cheap custom PC build.
omg, can u read. I said i wanted to just play minecraft. I'm not going to be doing anything else. I just want to play bloody minecraft.
Yes, Minecraft has to load millions of blocks, which is pretty CPU heavy if you think about it.
You don't need 1500-2000 for a quality computer let alone one for minecraft. You can max out pretty much any game at 1080 with a 1000$ build. A build powerful enough to max out mc is 400$. Please leave and educate yourself before coming back.
OpenGL only loads visible block faces, which makes it more optimized. Once chunks are generated, no problem.
If you were just playing, you'd get at the max 80 on minimal settings, if you were recording on minimal settings, you'd probably get around 20 or 30 fps. Just saying
Are you going to be overclocking?
on my current pc i get 2fps on minecraft with optifine and 0 fps on ftb
can u all give me real suggestions
In all cerialness, you'd probably get around 50 or 60 fps on vanilla. I'm not the master with amd, but I must say.
I don't know your feelings about laptops.. but i use an Asus X83VM-X1 and i get 100-150 fps in vanilla MC and I got it for $160 bucks on Ebay
AREN'T YOU LUCKY
I dont want to run hardcore game i mentioned that.
Haha it's a joke, lol
It will run minecraft, but if you're looking at hardcore processor and video card intensive games like minesweeper and pinball 2.0, you're screwed.
Edit: your OS is more expensive then anything else on the computer, but leave people like randomness and killertoad to speak.

If I get 30 FPS in Pinball, do you think I'll lag in this new Pinball 2.0 you speak of?
2 670s, i5 and such
2 670s, i5 and such
About a solid 9 fps, it was what I have on my BRAND NEW computer.
