Do you use Minecraft 1.8?
Hey guys, I was wondering, if anybody even uses 1.8? Because, now that Bukkit has been struck down, and all the popular servers use 1.7.X, Do people use it?

I only use it for the fancy tab, and the heads and some other fancy stuff. I never play legit 1.8 because I only play on servers (Besides my redstone world) I hate the removal of meta data though

Spigot protocol hack. The servers are 1.7.??(10 I think), but allow 1.8 clients to connect. However, due to the fact that the server community is really only up to 1.7.10, playing right now on 1.8 is bound to bring you bugs. Even the book format seems to have changed enough to break them if you're on 1.8. Best to stick to 1.7.10 until the 1.8 update is actually completed, unless you're playing single player or a rarely decent vanilla server.
However, it seems that the Spigot team is close to finishing the actual update. I believe they said the end of the month would bring a functional 1.8 server.

Yeah, most servers I go on run 1.7 and 1.8. It's probably Spigot, though I can't be for sure.
