Citadels Online is becoming a Sandbox Mmmorpg: A complex idea that will give you a unique game play and an interactive experience. What we have planned for you is a combination of worlds, game plays, and features that will provide a totally different rpg feeling, but also with the Minecraft freedom as well.

Our mindset from the beginning was to create a unique Mmorpg server, and now we are closer than ever before of releasing the title we envisioned. If we were to summarize all the content below in a single sentence, we would say: Citadels Online is presenting its major update “A New World”.



The universe in Citadels Online is broken down in 4 environment types. Each environment has its own game play, from the costumed made dungeons best for character building - to the social city for trade, craft and quests - vanilla wilderness for mining building or crafting - the nether with pvp and pve. For a true immersive experience, we recommend to include all in your game play.




A starting location for each adventurer, it will be the meeting ground for all players. These cities are located in the air and they are safe zones for players to take quests, to sell/buy items from special merchants or from other players.The portals for other environments are located in the city but that's not all, the quest givers will be waiting for you as well.




Is the vast untainted wild territory at your disposal, to explore however you wish . You can teleport to the Wilderness from the cities, and once you arrive, everything around you is mineable, craftable and destroyable. The vast nature will be around you at all times: caves, dungeon locations and other houses and small villages are hidden, for you to discover. Orc camps and hostile villages are place throughout the world , who knows what treasure you may stumble upon there...

Everything is allowed in the Wilderness: from mining ores, crafting items, build structures or destruction of anything around, you can choose to play in the wilderness or not, but there is a catch: In order to create powerful gems you will need items from the Wilderness to use for crafting recipes, more details read below in the Items section.










A warrior has to face dangers and take on many battles, in order to level up and gain valuable items. How? by fighting creatures in our dungeons, but also solving puzzles, going through mazes and surviving the journey.

In order to teleport to a dungeon, you need to find the Dungeoneer and he will have a list of different dungeon locations for you to discover and to embark on. Each dungeon will have a level range of course. The Dungeoneer can be found in Blackbarrow at -12 213 -82















The Nether is a dark world where the more experienced adventures travel, thus you need a minimum level of 25 to reach that land. It is an hostile environment, where PvP is the name of the game, but also dangerous creatures that drop valuable recipes for your precious gems, are to be found in the Nether. You can find the Portal easily as it is within the main Castle.






Is designed to give you the freedom to play the game in numerous interactive mods. You will have rpg elements, as character building and customization, combined with the freedom to mine and craft common vanilla or special items, You have the option to choose however you want to play: if you would like to go to a dungeon with your friends you can, if you don’t feel like it and mining special ores for you to sell in the cities intrigue you more, you can do that as well. Trade your findings, build your character, discover the wilderness, embark in quests or start guild wars.



Increasing the level of your character will be done by adventuring only in the Dungeons and the Nether, and killing lower and eventually higher creatures . Once you started leveling, you will be able increase your characters stats and choose certain skills. Every time a level is reached, you will be able to add new stats to your character, each time 10 levels are reached, you will have the option to choose a skill.

[b]Items [/b]will play a big role in the game experience and in the world economy, giving you the option to hunt down mobs and obtain rare items, in the dungeons, to mine vanilla minerals and create your classic minecraft items, or you will find magic recipes that require vanilla items and droppable items in order to craft powerful gems .There will be 3 major types of items, each with their own attributes:

[b]Drops[/b]: Items that will drop from mobs killed in dungeons and the Nether ( can range from potions, to rare, unique and epic weapons and armors ). You can choose to use them or sell the in the City to other players that seek them.
Vanillas: Will be the minerals you can find by mining in a vanilla minecraft map. You can use them and craft your own items, build your house, or you can sell them in the City to other players.

[b]Gems[/b]: Are magical items which are crafted by finding a Recipe and combining (Certain Drop items and Vanllias )

The Gems are applied to weapons give different attributes to your character. Finding the right items and crafting the gems will be a key element of the game play:

The main activities in the world of Citadels can be summarized be below:

Your starting location will be in the City, Blackbarrow, where you will meet other adventurers and travelers, but in the City, you will also meet merchants that sell items, a crafting table to create gems, auctioneers and quest givers you interesting task to take and you will meet many other interesting characters , will not spoil.

Blackbarrow is in the air and the only way to go to a different environment is to find the portals located in the city, there are portals for different Dungeons, for the Wilderness and for the Nether.

Is another a part of the game play. A fun and intriguing distraction from all the battles and free roaming in the wilderness. You can find the quest givers in the cities and once you start completing them, the rewards will follow but bare in mind, that some quests are easier than others.

Let’s say you want to start leveling your character but also to find some items and some cool loot. The place you should start is with the low level dungeon for which you can find the teleport in the city, group up with some friends in a party, or go solo and start bashing your way up. The higher and more difficult the dungeon, the better the loot.

There are 7 dungeons at the moment, each with different difficulty level.

Is a type of guild war that will take place once every week in another special location. The guild that will emerge victorious will take the spoils of war.

Is permitted only in some areas, in the Nether but also in the Wilderness. Pvp tournaments will be held by the staff periodically and the champions will be rewarded with goods, but also with their name on the Champs Hall of Fame posted on the forum.

If you are tired of grinding monsters and battling other players, why not teleport to the land below, and experience the freedom of Minecraft.[b] Mine ores[/b] and [b]minerals[/b], [b]craft basic items, build a house [/b]or make a cave, but don’t forget, you can always run into another fellow adventurer and he might not have the best intentions. Another good reason to wonder in the wild and mine is to find some ores needed in the crafting of [color=#800080]Gems[/color]. Sell your goodies in the City and become rich.

We want this to be a[b] different experience[/b] for old and new minecraft players, and thus the game concept focuses around customization but also freedom to enjoy the classic elements of minecraft.

Events will be a part of Citadels Online experience as well, as our belief is that an active community makes the server a success, and the essential ingredient for that also can be found in the events held in the game by the staff.
