What is Cometcraft?
Cometcraft (aka CCNet War) is a Factions PvP server with a lot of unique features.
What makes Cometcraft different?
Cometcraft has a lot of core features that sets it apart from other servers.
This includes:
- Guns
- Airships/ships
- Cannons
- Grenades
- Custom textures and sounds!
- Towny
- Skyblock
- and more!
Guns and grenades are one of the oldest features of the server and are a lot of fun! They are self-explanatory, and make a huge difference when raiding! You can visit /warp gunshop and /warp grenadeshop in-game to check them out. They even have custom textures which are automatically installed when you join the server!
Airships and ships can come in many varieties (tanks, mining machines, submarines, etc), and are built by you how you want it, so no pre-set designs to follow. Not only that, but you can outfit them with cannons (another feature of the server), torpedos and even nukes! (yes, there's nukes on the server!) There are a few requirements though, so that's why we built /warp ships which you can visit in-game. Ships can be as small as 200 blocks to massive 10k block destroyers will obliterate everything in their paths.
Cannons are also in-game. If you are sick of TNT cannons, this is the place for you! They are compact, tiny, easy to use and pack a lot of power! Visit /warp cannons in-game to see how they are built.
We also have Towny for those who wish to remain peaceful, along with a GUI shop for easy browsing! And if you just want to relax or have a challenge, we also have Skyblock.
Not only that, but we also have your basic features like Essentials and mcMMO, and some other lesser-known features such as FactionMobs.

Some big updates are coming soon to the server!
Some bugs have also been fixed, including:
- C4 not being able to be placed.
- Guns and ammo corrupting when hitting mobs or players with them in melee.
- M21 never hitting targets.
- Being able to auction items into Skyblock from Factions/Towny, and vice versa.

Hey guys,
Skyblock is finally here after a long wait.
You can visit Skyblock by visiting the Skyblock sheep at spawn (turn right).
Alternatively, you can do /island.
Factions and Towny are disabled in the Skyblock worlds, as are all normal kits and voting rewards to keep it fair.
Tips
- Right click obsidian with a bucket to get a lava bucket.
- Do /island restart to start on a fresh island.
- Do /island top to see the best islands!
- Complete challenges (/challenges) to get valuable items!
- Don't mess up your cobblestone generator!

This is one of the biggest updates to the server. Due to popular demand, a Towny world has been added. I also felt that Towny is similar to what Calaxer is planning to add after 1.9, and that this would help smooth out the transition out a little bit. Lastly, there's hardly any Towny cracked servers, and CCNet is known for innovation, right?
What is Towny?
Towny is much more in-depth and complex than Factions. Whilst the basic principles are the same, such as there being a Wilderness where PvP is enabled, and claiming land, it's alot difference from Factions in terms of raiding, war and management.
Some key differences include being able to tax your members, having a lot more customizability over your territory, designating plots to seperate players to prevent internal griefing and betrayals, jails, uniting different towns under a nation, an unique war system, and more!
The Towny world is in early Alpha and is in trial mode. If people do not like it, or staff decide it is too buggy/empty, then it will be deleted.
Towny is obviously a huge and complex plugin which can't be explained fully in this post. For more information, check out the following link:

Sorry for the recent downtime, there was a problem with the server PayPal which caused the server to be suspended until the issue was resolved. The problem is solved now, and you can play again!

Small but significant update to guns today....
Custom sounds!
All guns apart from the M16A4 have custom sounds now to enhance realism. The sounds should update once you join the server.
In addition, congratulate Dr_Strangelove for being the newest helper in the CCNet staff team. Dr_Strangelove has consistently reported bugs to the server staff, as well as showing a high level of maturity and self-restraint.

mcMMO stats have been restored from a backup (saved on 19th December) after the data unfortunately got corrupted. If you're a new player who joined after the backup was saved and have lost all your stats, please contact an admin or post on the forums.

The custom texture pack will now download automatically now when you join - it's a very small file and should only take a couple of seconds to load. You can choose to opt out if you don't feel comfortable with this though.

The server recently experienced downtime from 12:00 - 23:00 UTC today. This was due to the server invoice being paid a tad too late. Issue has been resolved and server is back online!

- This should have no effect apart from less lag. PaperSpigot is a set of patches for Spigot which optimizes the server even further.

Fixed an issue with mining tanks and playershops. Newbie protection has also been extended to 15 minutes, though you can disable this with /pvp disable protection.
