i would recomend a RPG sever or apocolypes sever but it doesnt really matter wat type it is i just want to build im good at pixel art red stone statues of whatever you want castles and etc.

how about 1 huge castle with shops and houses and a prison and such, the there will be a clan of people that will rebel against them

I good theme for a server is something that someone can releate to. I role playing server is a good idea for a server where someone can join become a miner or fighter or another charater then you have economy where they can equire items which are harder to obtain. The currancy could be gold ingots you could make a map in world painter and have the ores be very rare. I think increaseing diamond ores rariaity would be a good idea. There is also a king who is the owner he can give items out to people if they need them caving also needs to be very difficult so that its not easier for anyone so only miners will go caving reguler. Different races would be a good idea aswell such as Elves who live in hills , Dwarfs who live under snowy moutains, Mages who live in a small forest of mage towers. Then the kingdow of nords each of the different races would live in a different corner of the world. They could battle each other and take ground of each other if they were powerful enough to keep it. I think minecraft is too easy so redstone iron gold and diamond should be very rare. Villages shouldnt be aloud they should only be obtained via zombie villages this would make them hard to get and a differcult task.

Well if it is going to be a RPG, I suggest you to take a look at the Final Fantasy series, These games are truely amazing. It's fantasy based.
But if ofcourse you like medieval more or something, then do build a capital city with an amazing spawn.
