I would like to start my own server but I don't know what to call it and what theme / gamemode it should be
I already have a 4GB server so I just need this infomation, please help me!

I'm closing this thread as my server ideas are now firmly in place, I'll be doing Survival and Kingdoms (a custom, factions-inspired gamemode)!
On the flipside I will most likely need staff, PM me here and I'll give you a link to my Discord, or you can just wait for me to make the thread :3

Why do you call your sever "Mythix Network" you own a server NOT a networks of tens of different servers on MANY different games. A network is when you have a prop website, several server owners and a few members, not 1 server which is about to start, you dont call that a "network" XDXDXD lmao...
For one you're really immature so I am ignoring this comment. Avoid posting rubbish, and do a spell check.
I'd make a BungeeCord server!

BungeeCord would be quite hard, because I only have one server (4GB remember :3). As for that, creating a network with all that would be quite fun for sure, but would be impossible on my budget and time schedule. Great ideas though!!!

I still need an idea for gamemode, and remember I can get another server because this will probably have more than 2 gamemodes :3

I strongly advise against calling it a network unless it is, in fact, a wide reaching network with quite a few involved modes. Two or three modes makes the term "network" seem a little overwhelming.

My plan is to get a few of the good/best ideas and combine them to make something truely unique, and if that isn't possible then I will most likely pick out some ideas at random and again combine them.
Factions or skyblock and id have to say call it Mythix factions, or HyperPlay factions maybe theme id have to say like old times
Both in my opinion are overused, and skyblock isn't too much fun nowadays, and its a hassle to make. Also, cool names, I've taken your ideas and put them together!
What I mean by a mixture of the two is you are in survival, but you can fly.
And what I meant to say at the end was if you wanted, I could be an admin, and run the server from the console, that sort of things.

Sounds like a very *weird* idea, and I already have a staff team that can help :)
It's actually a very good idea. Every server I've seen like that, has a good, healthy player-base. There also aren't many servers that allow their players to fly. However, you would have to make limitations like no PVP/PVE in fly mode, and if you get hit by something you lose fly mode, but all of that is easy to configure.
Thanks for the feedback, it kinds sounds like a cool idea now someones explained how good the idea might be :D
If you were to do a Factions server, it would need to be HEAVILY customized. With custom mod plugins, armor and maps. Which I doubt you will be able to do, and even still it might not succeed.
Yeah I know, in my opinion however factions is pretty annoying
Whatever you do, Don't do a factions server, they are really, really over used.
