How do I get my sever big and published? I've tried everything posted on numerous mc server lists posted on PMC trued everything but it never seems to work.

First of all, have a server that's worth playing on, not just another SG, Prison or anarchy server that's been done a hundred times (and better). Stand out! have something special that no other server has.
Second, post your server on popular Mc server lists and encourage your people to vote for your server on those websites.. (PMC, MC-Index, MinecraftForum, ect.)
Third, stealth advertize, create a clickable forum signature and post (not spam!) on different threads, people reading those threads will see your signature and maybe click on it.
And fourth, luck. It's basically a game of luck if your server will get noticed by people.
You might get more members or not, it's all chance.
