what is tekkit? is it a mod a sever or a site?

It's not a science expansion, It is like technic but doesn't use single player only mods so it can have servers. technic and tekkit are NOT all about science it has magic/alcamy, railcraft (an addition to vanilla rails) even redpower which is sort of sciency but still.

tekkit is just a science pack for minecraft
you can get it on this site
to get tekkit you will need the technic launcher
