For some reason I got on minecraft and there were animals. I don't know what happened, but I know that there are animals now and I am happy.

There doesn't seem to be any pigs or sheep though.

I don't have any mods.

If it doesn't work. Take a gun to your head and kill yourself. It's what I did when it happened to me.

Your problem is this:
Animals are persistent now. They do not despawn.

If you use an ocean type map, with islands, like I have. It is likely that all of the animals
are swimming about.

Its rather annoying. Using worldguard's /butcher 9999 command works well in resetting the spawning.

Do you use essentials?

Twiddle your thumbs and let it blow on by
Farm instead
