Can Windows 8 run minecraft with no problems
Can windows 8 run minecraft with no problem? I'm planning to get a new computer since my birthday is in 15 days (june 19) and i plan to get a new laptop, but all the windows 7 in my local store has become windows 8, i don't care if windows 8 can't run anything except for minecraft or minecraft related items and mods like Mo'creatures mod or tekkit. I also hope i don't need to do anything besides installing mine craft or java

MC will work on Windows 8, but as for performance, it depends on the computer, not the OS.

I've been running Windows 8 for more than a year, it works fantastic. The only reason people hate on it is because of the metro interface, which isn't great but a $5 program fixes it.
I highly recommend you convert, as I have only had a few problems with it, most of which you'd never encounter. Namely Unreal Engine UDK not being compatible as well as ADB drivers, but once again I doubt you will use those.
Windows 8 can run Minecraft so don't worry
It works fine, but if you experience problems, run it in Windows XP (Service Pack 3) compatibility mode (works for me.)

I have Compaq Notebook PC It works fine on windows 8... Sure if you dont use a mouse and use the Mouse Pad it will pause if you move your finger to quickly.. But it works perfect on Windows 8
NO it blew my computer and I had to buy a new one I highly recommend you dont try this it caught fire and burned my leg as well as my desk
