Comment Thumbs

I was thinking, and I am sure a lot of others were, what if this site had thumbs up and down for comments, both on forums and on submissions?
It would be very simple, just a thumb up, and a thumb down, on all comments.
Features:
- Able to give quick feedback on all comments
- People could be warned about comments by seeing the # of thumbs down
- "Good" comments could be moved towards the top, optional sorting by thumbs
- "Bad" comments with at least 10 thumbs down are auto hidden.
Basically, people can choose to thumb up, or thumb down a comment. People can choose to view comments by number of thumbs, or by submission time. Comments can also be marked as "spam" and if a comment gets 5 spam marks, it is auto deleted. If a comment has 10 thumbs down, or more, then it auto hides the comment for everyone, and the manually have to click a "show" button to view the comment.
What does everyone think?

I like this idea, but I can see how it would be difficult to implement..

It would be a good idea but it would also be quite difficult to incorporate this into phpbb, the current forum software. Mods are available that do some of the things you mention above, but no current ones that do all of what you are suggesting. Unless PMC has some excellent coders, it's going to be a big job.
