Personally, I've never used any 'browser' skin editor. It's not really convenient when you're often head in the clouds like me, and forget to save before closing (^◇^;) Instead I'm using MSS on mobile, which is really cool to edit multiple skins at the same time, or paint on 'faces' rather than in the 3d view.
whats mss i just use pmcskin3d
MSS stands for Minecraft Skin Studio. It's basically a skinmaking mobile app among many others, but I really like the interface and ergonomy of this one. I've almost 2k skins stored on it (Including versions of the same skin)
crying in the corner because i use novaskin WHEEze
:P
paint.net is the greatest, greater than PHOTOSHOP EWWW DISGUSTING!!!!
not our problem your pc can't run it

I actually use both. Paint.net for simple edits and photoshop for bigger edits.

Cool, I have never experienced with it. It looks very good for making GIFs and similar things. I might try it somewhen.
You can use alpha per layer (by clicking the alpha symbol in right to the layer name) but it's not very comfortable because it's only per layer and only visible in the preview.

Fixed that for you so people don't have to download a file to view it. Imgur is free and you can drag and drop your image without an account to get it hosted.
to view the file right click and open in new tab, then it should take you to mediafire, then you can download and see the image
even to me seems a little fishy
but idk how to post images in here
