Hi! I'm Sammaxbr - and I've recently made a website called "MinecraftKingdom". I Don't want to put the link up in case It's advertising, but let me get staright to the point.

Me and my friends have been desperately working on it, making ranks, diccusing staff, ect. I Even made a post (www.planetminecraft.com/forums/logo-and-banner-t464875.html) asking for somebody to help m with a banner and logo. The point is, I want to attract players. But I don't know how. I Want to get about 50 users, as that's enough for me. maybe 100? I don't know. Does anybody know how to get people to come to a website? I Really need some help here

Could somebody help me? If anybody would like to know theAddress then please PM me asking; I don't want to put it up here as i'm not permitting breaking rules on my favourite website

Thanks, Sammax

Okay, so here's the thing. I've been in web development for awhile now, so I have a bit of experience. I also have a good deal of experience with advertising in general.

Here's what you need to do: advertise your server first, THEN the website. Or, advertise both at the same time, with more emphasis on the server.

See, people come here looking for a minecraft server to play on. What's more is that they want it to be quick and easy to find. If one server seems too complicated or different from what they want, they aren't going to join.
So, by making people go to your website before they can read about your server, you're making it more complicated for someone to view your server, and thus are turning away a lot of players.
I know that simply viewing a website doesn't seem very complicated, but trust me - people are incredibly impatient when it comes to this type of thing.

Your focus needs to be on getting players into your server, THEN once they're there, try to encourage them to visit the site.

I hope everything works out for you!

I am sorry, enjin websites never become anything really. You need to do a custom website like PMC, PMC uses PHPBB for the forums.

Use SEO to make your website more relevant in the google which result to more traffic...although this is quite expensive as most big server owners do this and have a much bigger income then you id assume and can pay for there website to be higher up then yours

As the owner of a pretty successful forum board, I suggest you start off my getting a group together of 4-5 friends that you trust, setting up a forum using a free host (I use prophpbb and I highly recommend it) with a catchy domain (the one you have is a pain to read and remember). Forums are generally a good way to start a site, because it gets a community with activity that can interact. Once you hit 35-50 members and at least 3-4 posts per day on the forum, you can start building other parts of the site.

Sorry for my advertising, but if you want to take a look at my site to see what I mean, the URL is http://krazynet.net

On forums, if they have a signature, put your website in your's and make sure it is visible. If people like what you say or do then your signature is a nice place for them to see things you want noticed!

This
It's a slow process but over time more and more people will see it and maybe also put it in their signature.

I would like to know why you don't want to use advertising. There is lots of free advertising programs if you look and do your research.

You could possibly give away VIP and Donator ranks from entering on the website and pick 1-3 winner. That should drum up some bussiness.

Advertising in some way is a big thing. But if that is not an option get a good following on social media sites, in addition to making sure you offer the absolutely best content and originality you can, and offer things that aren't already on the internet.
PM me for my skype, I have some experience with this and I can possibly help.

Maybe take that weird fiery thing off your name. I could not be on a website and see that everywhere. Gave me a headache in like 5 seconds.

Pick up a piece of paper and write down the address on it.
Roll the paper up and place it under your pillow.
When you wake up, the paper should be squashed.
Unroll it and read the website address; it'll be a website. That's the one you were trying to get famous yesterday.

Honestly though, there's no good way, unless you're either the first to make an original site (like PMC), have a lot of money in your pocket or are very intelligent. More intelligent then everyone else trying to do the same thing (me before I quit lol).

Find a proper host. They're not that expensive ($2-3/mo.), and there's a TON more that you can do with them compared to Enjin. I second the vote for WordPress, btw. It's like Bukkit for web development; there's a massive community of coders making awesome plugins.

Secondly, connect your website with social media.

Third, be awesome and consistent. Now, don't go anywhere for a long time and incrementally become more awesome.
