I need help with command blocks!
I need to know how to get a command block to check if a player is in a certain permissions group (I'm using PEX), and execute a command if they are in the specified group, that changes their group to a different group.
Is this even possible? I wanna make this for my beginning area, for the newbies to go through a tutorial and at the end of the tutorial i will change their group to a normal player. But I want this tutorial to be easily accessible in case anyone forgets how to do something, so they can warp back to it and look it up, without having to worry about their ranks getting deleted when walking through the area that changes your group. Like I know you can use a command block to change a player's group to whatever group you want through pex. But I only want it to change the newbie group to a normal player group. So players that have ranks lets say, won't get changed back to a normal player group when they walk through it.

What you can do, is make a duplicate of it, without the command block, and one with the command block, that has the rankup thingo.
you can use team as a rank and then its easy...

Just link a sign to the command so that when they right click it they'll trigger the command

I wish it was simple enough to fit it all on a sign. but what I'm trying to do is too much. It wouldn't all fit on a single sign.
I re-read what your were trying to do and it seems quite impossible, but I don't get why a person with a higher rank you want to right click the sign

I've never been on a prison server i don't think D= So I wouldn't know what you're talking about. But if I were to guess, I'd have to say no.
I'll definitely post here if I ever figure it out! I think it's only possible through the use of another plugin though. I was just playing around with CommandHelp all day, just trying to write 1 line of it! But it's not liking me very much >.< I'm about to try ModDamage.

I've never been on a prison server i don't think D= So I wouldn't know what you're talking about. But if I were to guess, I'd have to say no.

you could op them individually then remove all commands that you dont want them to have,
this would take a while but i think it would work
