Vanilla? Hamachi?

Ok this may sound stupid, but what does it mean if a server is vanilla, hamachi, or bukkit? What does it mean if a server is smp?

SMP just stands for "survival multiplayer"
vanilla means that the server is not modded or changed in any way from normal minecraft
hamachi is a VPN(virtual private network) that you can use to easily set up access to your server. (http://hamachi.en.softonic.com/)
bukkit is a server mod that allows you to add a whole bunch of cool and awesome "mods" (or plugins) that add new stuff to the server.(www.bukkit.org)
