The Mystery Mob mob skin community event has come to an end! 😁 In this event, participants picked a hidden theme and hidden mob model and their revealed combination determined what mob skin they would be making. We received 34 entries out of a possible 45. Good score! A big thank-you to everyone who made a submission. It was shared before but here it is again, the participant's badge:



Aside from the participant's badge, we have three special awards in store for some submissions that stood out. Thank you Chabileo, VinylReplica and PMC for helping me pick out the entries to receive a badge!

In the category very best we picked the most impressive entry of all. This mob skin was unanimously chosen by all four of the judges. One of the things that stood out about this submission was the creative story in the description that went along with it! In addition to the tale, the skin certainly has a toy-like appearance with the wood grain swirls, wooden pegs to attach the toy’s appendages, and a log slab as the tail. Perfection! When life gives you lemons, what do you do? In the category making lemonade we picked the entry that made the best comeback from a bad prompt! With the numbers being hidden, there was a good chance that participants would end up with something that at first thought might seem impossible to make into something nice. Our pick is the Icy Cow! You can tell this cow is COLD! Just look at its expression! Combined with the cool blue colors, this cow is undoubtedly frozen. A perfect palette and portrayal of their prompt. PMC is a judge in this contest? Yes! How awesome! Because of this, we came up with a special wildcard award: PMC's pick! We asked PMC to hand out this award to their favorite entry that did not win very best or making lemonade. Their pick: A cartoon polar bear at its finest! The budgie used the protagonist in “We Bare Bears”, ice bear, as inspiration for this skin! I particularly liked the palette of this skin and the addition of a blushing-appearance and although I’ve never heard of the cartoon they’ve referenced, this bear has a cartoon-like appearance.
