The Switch is only a few days away from launch. I already pre-ordered mine along with 1-2 Switch and Zelda. But one big question still remains for me: does the Switch still count as part of the current, 8th generation of consoles, or will it make the switch (pun intended ) into the 9th generation?
In my opinion it's the start of the 9th geneneration. First of all, Nintendo also started the current generation, with the Wii U. Next, it is a brand-new system. While PS4P and Xbox1S are seperate systems, they are more updates to their base 8th gen consoles.
So what do you think?

So the console is out and it looks like most people voted next gen.
