Is it alright to post stuff that you didn't make? Like the guy who posted the Hey0 mod. Now he's going to get so many views but he didn't make that. I think those people should get it rough. Or else what's the point of the report button?

Yah, that's fine death. I know you were not trying to take credit. Not a personal thing at all. Site could quickly become a major mess if everyone started submitted others work though. Say the original author comes to the site later, submits their work again or notices it's already been submitted and gets upset. It's just better if we submit our own stuff.

Now, a review / intro to hey0 (or other complex mods) could be an awesome blog post.

http://www.planetminecraft.com/skin/cactus-people/ this is the skin you referred to, maybe you should have a simple agreement that shows on the first skin upload that says original content only. Just make sure its short and sweet or no-one will read it

Yeah, put a big sign in the upload section for unoriginal content.

It appears it's still a problem. I found 3 plagiarized posts today. Skins are copied so much I can't keep track of em.

Mostly Mods are plagiarized.

I agree. I think that some of the people that upload hundreds of skins just blind copy-paste skins off of some of the skin repositories that are available online. Mods seem to be mostly non-original as well. I have noticed no plagiarism with projects so far and i don't think that the blog format really allows for plagiarism. Servers would be pretty hard to plagiarize as well, since most times people. Textures mostly seem to be good, though I am not sure how original they all are. I know a large portion of the one that I deprecated since the most recent update was someone else's work that I modified and updated a few times. I think that we probably don't really need a mod section, since most mods are posted on the regular forums where they get a wider view, or are things like bukkit plugins. Since both of those are already well-known avenues for mods, I see no real reason for a submission section, though having a forum section where people can point out mods that they have discovered or made would be nice. I am probably rambling now but I will let you know if I see anything else.

Oh I saw a texture pack that was plagerized. That person (Falcon somethin or other I think.)reposted the clean design pack that's already on the site. FAIL.

Yeah people should post stuff like hMod in the forums.

Yeah, I don't think a mods section is needed. There are 6 mods currently, and they get plagiarized often. Like INVEdit.

I think there should definitely be a small notice about unoriginal content. Some people even admit that they didn't make stuff but post it just to promote it.

If something is reported a certain number of times it should be removed automagically.
