Yay! No template! I now feel comfortable saying that it one of the best intros I've ever seen . By the way, how did you make it? Did you use animation software like Flash?

Looks quite nice, although I've seen quite similar. You aren't using template, are you? If you aren't, great job, and what did you use to make it?

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that OpenGL is a library used by developers to make graphics with different languages. Minecraft should come with it, the only reason you would need to download it would be if it had somehow gotten deleted.

I think the way that it is included is via the LWJGL. It's game library for java that I think (again, I could be wrong) includes the OpenGL library inside it. So you might want to check if your LWJGL is there.

If you go to your .minecraft folder (just minecraft without the dot for macs) click on libraries, then on org, then on lwjgl, then you'll have to click on lwjgl twice again, and then tell us whats in that folder.

EDIT: From what I've read, sometimes this happens when your drives "crash", so restarting your computer might help if you haven't tried that already.

I for one would enjoy more ways to automate and advanced machinery, but I guess that doesn't really go along with the theme of the rest of the game. Anyway, there are some great mods that stuff like that.

Besides that, I think something like sky castles with new cloud-like mobs guarding them would be fun. If they had good drops, you could turn the castle into an automatic farm, which will probably already be done with the new underwater castle. The new blocks look so cool, I'm sure someone will bother making a farm for them

I would (seeing as my name is all numbers, I think something more creative would be in order) Maybe something like DarkCactus, or FloatingCactus, or DarkFloatingCactus, or RulerOfDaCactuses.....

If you want less lag, get a better computer -_-. And I would very much like the mod api, although that would make the update take much longer. Maybe in 1.6?

A fix for lagging? Lagging is a big issue on Minecraft especially for those with slower computers, players often get annoyed when they see youtube videos of people with a smooth running minecraft while the other half of us are victims of the lag. Hopefully Mojang will make a no lag option, it would mean worse quality but at least it could stop lagging.


-_- is all I can say about that. The only way to get rid of lag is to get a good computer or to make minecraft have even worse graphics and be 2D. Now you don't want that

And about mod support, it's called the mod api and may be coming out in 1.5.

@l_Pro_Assassin wooden armor should give you extra fire damage. I also want the mod api, like many others. However, being the logical person I am, I do not believe I will get my wish. Unless the first 1.5 snapshot comes out in 2013.

I setup a server for my friends to play on (vanilla, of course) and I didn't know anything except how to do /xp so I made my friends do everything for me in return for xp . If you think setting up a server would be near impossible for a n00b, I have always had a knack for the technical stuff, however, I'm horrible at most everything else. (I refuse to build anything without worldedit)

@Animatrix Lol, you're right. It's because all the stupid pixar and fairy tale movies that they have done. They are probably going to make it even more dramatic, which might be just a bit to much over the line. Or worse, they'll add some stupid comedy part that they think will sell to the "little kids".

Sponges. They have absolutely no purpose anymore except for looking quite ugly with almost anything else.
