Help/Servers How do I promote / get players on my server? (Just 5-10 at once)

I haven't run a Minecraft Server in over 4 years. But when I did I posted it on just about every server listing website there is and my player count stayed pretty high, give people a reason to stay, and become friends with your players. They'll be sure to come back if you give them a reason to. Start adding more plugins periodically that either improve or add some kind of fun minigame to your server.

I do not see much of a difference between your remix and the other remix included in the description.

From what I can tell they are all made in Adobe After Effects. Then after it is rendered im gonna guess they used some kind of converter that made a video into a gif then cropping it down to the size of the banner. There are thousands of tutorials on how to make stuff in Adobe After Effects now the software is not free but there are various other ways to get it but I can't tell you because it would be against the rules.

Personally these banners are too "Hey look at me i'm so cool" meaning that they could have a sick banner but possibly a horrible server trying to get players and lastly its way to fast for some people and can easily be passed over.

P.S. None of these require a 3D program. Not to be mean or anything but the Level 1 person did not know what he was talking about.

Graphics wise Unreal Engine has amazing graphics. But I suggest Unity3D because its really beginner friendly especially the coding. For me im more of a designer but the coding is very simple with C# and JavaScript. Also Unity3D is free and you have commercial rights but you just can't make more than a $100,000 a year from a game. Otherwise you can get pro and make as much as you wan. Personally I don't like selling my games but hey do what you want.

Nether Biome? Theres no point plus they make it a challenge to get the nether on purpose adding a biome of it will break rarity in most items.
(Also im sure there is mod)

and a Amd Fx 6300 6 core
Works kinda well

Well clearly your internet is the boss but even if he hosted a server with WiFi like that and 40gb+ RAM he would be cut down to about a quarter so if he got DDOSED he would be screwed like someone else said.

Honestly its not the best to port-forward a server threw your WiFi. Depending on your WiFi specs it might instantly crash once the server starts up. I sometimes host a small 1GB server on my WiFi and my brother instantly complains because it gets slow

Technically its not pirated minecraft because Mojang gives you an option in the server config to easily make the server "Cracked" Honestly if the server is private and not public not alot of people will care. But yes Cracked servers are easy to hack if you don't have the right plugins/tools (You need a login plugin). Making your server cracked will bring alot more people then if it was not cracked. I personally think you should do it because some people just can't afford minecraft so they get a cracked version and soon or later may or may not buy the game.

P.S. You can not post cracked servers on the server list on PMC.

What do you mean by "80's"? If you mean white and black texture packs its because minecraft has a secret shader that is black and white
(Also because its easy as applying a filter/effect which could take you like 1-3 hours)

Honestly I don't know what your trying do and it honestly seems pointless to do plus why not just do it your self you obliviously know how to do it or just reinstall NEI if all your items are missing in NEI. Oh look what I have.

Theres something called MCreator instead of requesting mods make them your self. MCreator requires no coding skills but sadly PMC does not allow mods made from it because it takes almost no time to make a mod in it. Either that or learn Java because I doubt anyone has the time to make a mod that is pretty original.

If you mean when some major servers allow 1.6.4 in a 1.7.2 server. Mojang stated that servers will not be able to allow 1.7.7 clients on a 1.7.2 server. Due to the fact that 1.7.7 uses the new skin server updating service and Unique Player ID.

Sorry but your pretty much un-helpable if you don't know what your doing and can't find out how to simply run a server you shouldn't be running one . All I can suggest is to pay a Hosting Company for a server its the easiest way.

If you do not own coolcraft.servemp3.com (Paying for it or got it from a free service) it will not work you need to use your actual IP

Well i'm not sure what you mean by verified but you have to open a port on your router. I will not go into full detail just search some videos on YouTube. Also make sure the start.bat is actually running...


P.S. You need to put your actual IP not like 192.0.2.1 more like 198.12.64.235
(In the US most router IPS start with 192)
