To be fair AdBlock isn't really useful to the site host, adverts generate revenue which keep the site running and speaking as someone who really loves this site, isn't some little ad pop-ups worth it to keep this site going?! Your problem sounds like you have some extensions installed to chrome that you are not aware of (that was my case), one suggestion would be to check your extentions, if not then maybe you downloaded something that causes these "ad spams" and I would check your "installed programs". Just an additions the pop-up ads aren't controlled by the site.
