Today is the birthday of two very important people:
Victor Caroli, born on this day in 1942, the famous narrator of the original Transformers cartoon, as well as the 1986 movie, the toy, cartoon, and movie commercials, the Secret Files of Teletraan II, the toy commercials for G2, early Beast Wars toy commercials, and two episodes of the Prime Wars trilogy (oh, and he voiced an unnamed Torkuli in "Webworld")
Kōjin Ōno, born on this day in 1959, designed almost every Diaclone toy, and helped work on the molds more when they became a part of Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers, a toyline known in the US as The Transformers, as well as several later figures once they'd started making original molds: - 11 Autobot Cars between 1984 and 1985 - the Constructicons - the Dinobots - the 1984 Decepticon Planes - the Omnibots - the 1985 Triple Changers and Octane in '86 - the Metroplex and Fortress Maximus sets (and Grand Maximus) - Galvatron - the Aerialbots - Apeface - the Trainbots - 6 Masterforce toys - Deathsaurus - Galaxy Shuttle - the Multiforce, Dinoforce, and Crossformers - and, finally, the Metrotitan set, one of two Decepticon releases in the Zone toyline
In addition, he also worked on Overhaul/Jackshot for Cybertron/Galaxy Force, two Deluxes and the Fast Action Battlers and Cyber Slammers for the 2007 movie toyline, the G-Shock and Canon crossovers, Ultimate Optimus Primal from the Rise of the Beasts mainline, and, last but not least, the MPG Trainbots and MP-52, 53, 54, 56, and 57. He also has a soft spot for the Honda City R, Skids' alt-mode (one of the Autobot Cars he designed), and the red one he had as a kid inspired MP-54 Reboost.
"Say you'll remember me In a nice dress At the sunset Red lips and rosy cheeks See me again Even if it's in your Wildest dreams, whoa Wildest dreams, whoa"
- "Wildest Dreams (DragonForce's Version)" from Warp Speed Warriors (single released 2-15-2024) by DragonForce Ladies and gents, one of the rare times I'll break my "no Taylor Swift for LOTDs" rule because DragonForce made a cover of one of her songs that I actually enjoy. (I'd put a "lol" and the end but I have another rule about not putting stuff like "lol" and "lmao" in my posts as well.)
Hearing footsteps coming down the hallway is terrifying. Not because monsters or murderers, but because it's probably my mom or dad coming to ask me to leave my room and do something productive for once. Which makes me feel guilty about having done nothing useful all day.
So my hair is like a gameshow, you never know what will happen, but today it is absolutely popping off. also I've been listening to podcasts for like 3 days straight, each podcast has about 3-7 stories. Also, why is my 7 key kinda broken?? It aint working if I don't click it really hard..
imagine if some random solar flare sent so much solar radiation towards Earth tonight that it shut down your internet again. lol just imagine if that were to somehow happen. what a humorous predicament that would be.
