Skyward Sword. Skyrim's crashed so much on my playthroughs, It's extremely buggy. The grass is very low quality, it looks nice from afar but as you near it it's extremely pixelated and disapointing. There's hardly any character development, and so while there's a lot of content, It gets boring after a while because there's no motivation to do all of the work. And yes, while it is somewhat true that you can never play the game the same way again, thats only half true. The main quests that you'll do are always the same, even the leigon/Stormcloak diffrences are radiant versions of the same quests.
Skyward sword is a Beautiful game, especially considering what the Wii can handle. The Flying mechanic is extremely fun, and the controls are incredibly responsive. Girahim is one of the best villains in any Zelda game so far. Also, While skyrim has some bosses, Legend of Zelda: Skyward sword has the best bosses in the series, with extreme variety between them, as well as challenging puzzles for destroying them that put you to the test. The new controls make combat more fun than the dual wielding mechanic of skyrim, because yes, dual wielding is fun, but ultimately it comes down to mashing the R1 button to swing a sword. Skyward Sword on the other hand has developed combat, which ensures that you make every swing count in order to efficiently take down your enemies.
While skyrim is good, Skyward Sword is my game of the year, I definitely recommend it to you over Skyrim.
