KnobleKnivesGreds6KnobleKnives"Dining room" in Japanese is both one word and heavily derived from the English words.
"Daininguruumu."
So is coffee and toilet and t-shirt and many more. Lotso English derivative words.
They aren't necessarily from English. In Japanese, there are three forms of writing: Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. Katakana is used to make foreign words compatible with the Japanese language.
Example of some foreign words in Katakana:
Dinning room - ダイニングルウム
(will add more when I remember some)
Yeah, exactly. I study both forms of Japanese as part of my school. Fascinating stuff, isn't it?
Hiragana is the traditional, Chinese-based form of kana, right? I'm still working on my knowledge of "Nihongo" and I only really know a smattering of different phrases and words.
