Yeah, I mean, one of the skins that beat mine had no favorites, 1 diamond, (the original), and not to be bitter too, but it was more reminiscent of my first skin than a contest finalist. I want chat back up so I can ask the admins better.


I contacted HappyBandaid and he said that the most important thing was Judge diamonds. This suggests that these skins with no/few diamonds, downloads, views and favorites got where they are because of the judges. I have to hope that the judges read the rules before judging thing but it would appear that they don't by the results so far...

I'd love to be able to tell you that you didn't make the final because your monster had no relation to the closet or that it wasn't very monstrous (For Example) but things with the exact same problems made the finals which is actually quite frustrating.

I would hate to come across as bitter but some of the skins that did make the finals were not up to spec. One of the skins- Creeper Herobrine violated the "original monsters" rules. Another- The vacation Duck was not even monster-ish. I don't understand the criteria for the judging contest but I imagine following the rules and keeping the theme helps or would at least be necessary to get into the finals. I think that my entry although it lacked a backstory, was better than some (a few) of the finalists. I understand this doesn't help but it may comfort you to know that you are not the only one with concerns.
