you don't need a touch screen compliant monitor for windows 8.1 and honestly I don't see why you would need it. It would be a lot of work to keep clean and its faster to use a mouse on a vertical display. IMO you should get similar monitors. However, one should be targeted towards your gaming preferences and the other towards video production. Lastly, Peripherals are more of a personal choice. If mechanical is your only requirement for a keyboard then there are hundred to choose from. They consist of many different key switch types, colors, macros, sizes, and prices. You're going to need to choose your peripherals as it is a personal preference. You'll also need to select a form factor you would like the PC to be.

I use Pytohost. You get what you pay for from them. They are a cheap host, but their customer support is terrible and they are unprofessional. On the other hand, their servers aren't laggy, though. If you just want a good server and don't run into problems, pytohost is a good deal. Especially with a re-occurring discount that I have. Just keep in mind I had submitted a ticket about 7 hours ago and it still has not been answered.

In this price range I would get an APU and fast RAM if you're only playing minecraft.

(Fast RAM over 1866 is overkill unless you're using an APU)

On another note, if you want to do serious gaming you'll need to invest more money for a graphics card, some more RAM (8 GB 1600-1866 is fine), and a better processor (AMD-FX8350 or Intel Core i5).

If you want to go with them: http://www.novatech.co.uk/pc/range/novatechblacknti59.html
Thats a good one for the price if you're just gaming and after you get enough money you can upgrade the graphics card to an even better one.

Also, you might want to build one yourself. It is a lot cheaper and you can have whatever you want in it and it gives you a good sense of accomplishment.

If you're just playing minecraft you could make your own for about 600 dollars. Also, you could check you existing computer (provided its is a desktop) to see if it has any PCI expansion slots for a graphics card to go. If you have one of those you could easily get a 100-200 dollar graphics card to play minecraft and record with mostly everything up and get ~30 fps.

Also, small servers shouldnt take up more than 5GB of HDD space but you may need more in the future.

That's the most bang for your buck PC for $1000 dollars. Can run minecraft if you desire (and any title right now) even though its way overkill. Also, it is the PC I am going to build. I can let you know after I build this beast!

Also, everything there is from newegg for simplicity although if you get it all from different places it might cut the price by $25.

Then why pay this much on a computer? I can play minecraft just fine on an AMD APU 60+ fps on everything up for not even $400. I don't know, even though it isn't your money and its not my call, you shouldn't need to pay this much for a PC to play minecraft and minecraft only.

Should run minecraft good. But I have a similar build for about 1000 dollars with a better CPU and GPU... Although if you don't want to build it yourself I can understand. Also, if you're spending $1000 on a PC that you want to run minecraft only? Don't you think it's a little overkill, or do you plan on playing other games other than minecraft too?

I have had problems with windows 8 on 2 monitors if that is your case. just turn your main one on first then after its all loaded up turn the second one on. Or if you're using one monitor let it boot up with nothing showing on the screen, click the power button (wait until it goes into standby mode) then shake the mouse. That worked for me when I have that trouble on my computer (not alienware though)

Randomness3333I would say drop down to a 8320 or 6300 and get a better GPU. This RAM is faster and cheaper. The Barracuda is 10$ cheaper and is just as good as the Caviar Blue. Get this PSU instead. My recommendation. Are you just buying from Newegg?

Thanks for the reply! Also, I quite like the recommendations! Now that I think about it I really only need 6 cores that should help give me some good multi-tasking capability. I also like the price difference, hard drive, and RAM. This should be able to run pretty much any game I throw at it with high resolution at around 40-60 fps? Also, I am only buying from newegg to keep things simple for my first build . Going to switch my build to yours.

Also, if I wanted to go a little bit more expensive on the GPU (about 300 dollars to fill up my 900 dollar budget) do you think a little bit more expensive video card (Maybe the same card with more RAM) will do the trick?

Basically the 760 should run most games 40+ fps at 1920 x 1080 on high to ultra. Unless you are trying to max out Crysis 3 this card will be fine. Its not worth getting the 4gb version of the 760 unless you are gaming on multiple monitors. Within your budget the 760 is best GPU.

Alrighty, I have made one change to the HDD instead of the same hard drive but in 2TB for about 25 dollars more which worked out well. Also, A friend will let me use his multiple use OS free so that shaves 100 dollars off.

    Thanks for all the help!

Yes, it records desktop and other games in windows. Although I haven't used it myself it seems like a good free program until you get enough money to invest in a higher performance capture device. Also, if you ever get stuck take a look at youtubes long list of video tutorials on it
