I don't think so.
Wolves aren't dogs. Even if you have "tamed" them, they're "tamed" wolves and show "Wolf was ..." when they die.
So wolves don't need to behave like dogs. They should still be aggressive like wolves because they are wolves.
Actually, Mojang haven't add dogs into Minecraft.
Also see the ocelots. (I think ocelots are the most useless now.)
Ocelots have had some behaviors just like cats, but they aren't cats. even though they can be tamed,their ID is "minecraft:ocelot".
In Minecraft 1.14, with more interesting behavior, cats were actually added, and ocelots can NO LONGER be tamed. Even though ocelots can still be reproduced and make creepers afraid, cats can either, which are easier to find.
So I think wolves are wolves, not dogs. Even if Mojang decides to add dog to Minecraft, Wolves are still wolves, because dogs, which aren't as aggressive as wolves, can only behave like pets instead of loyal warriors like wolves.
