Start of May 2024 update: Been working on regio VIII (Pompeii is split into nine regions) south of the forum area. Progress is slow but steady. Also continuing to update/remaster the buildings at the forum including the basilica and administrative buildings.

I am unsure when I will have the next blog up, probably when I've completed all of regio VIII.

Working on southern terraced houses of Pompeii and the Sarno bathhouse complex. May not look like much at the present but the hours put in are immense. Done plenty of research on archaeological papers and excavation maps to get the area just right. Google Earth has been a big help too to get a 3D view of the area. I will go into much more detail about these processes in my next update blog, hopefully coming out in not too long :)

Playing around with new ways to improve the look of the temples of my Pompeii project using blockstates and working with blocks in a new, creative way.

Also been working on a "remaster" of the forum. As my building skills and techniques improve I like to come back to previous structures to revitalize them. Redid the portico of the forum and did other minor changes.

Had a little fun with pixel art today - made a new icon for my profile and a new banner to go in line with the pixel art. Will update the pictures of my Pompeii Recreation Project content with the new style soon.

Hello everyone!

I decided to open up a Discord server where you can follow along with the progress of the Herculaneum pack.

I noticed I was slowing down on the development so I was hoping a server where people could suggest and comment could perhaps motivate me to continue :D

Next phase of constructing Pompeii well under way. Have been doing a lot of planning and measurements to make sure I get the walls and the area around the amphitheatre just right! Don't mind the flashy wool colours, it's all temporary!

Did a quick little challenge to recreate this reconstruction that was floating around the internet and I think it's as close as it'll get in Minecraft!

I will probably add more wooden ceiling tiles as well; useful in a variety of building styles

Made one of them wooden and plaster thingies today. I forgot the name. They're connected textures so you can make whatever shape.

A little look at the shale roofing. The clay tiles I'm not satisfied with yet. The weird white blocks is just my shaders bugging out

Did the stones, but have to think a little about what I exactly want for my cobblestone. The problem is not the lack of ideas, but rather the excess... I can't decide!
