I'm actually in favor of a blog wipe, and starting again from scratch. People would lose tons of XP, but most intelligent users would understand why we did it. The stupids would leave PMC because of the XP loss, and not post spam again. Win-win.

People seem to think that homosexuality is some kind of thing that just appeared in our species, and hasn't been there for long. I don't have any scientific sources handy, but I'm pretty sure that homosexual humans have always existed, since the dawn of Homo sapiens. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the homosexual/heterosexual ratio, if we could measure it, pretty much stayed the same during all those years.

So yeah, our species still thrives and will continue to do so until we've exhausted the resources of our ecosystem, don't worry about it.

Also, after months of debates, unhappy conservatives and unhappy religious people, France legalized same-sex marriage, and we had our first one yesterday. Yay, France

Blatant passive-aggressive criticism of moderators decisions will only get you more sanctions. Stop complaining about your ban, and think more about what you could have done to avoid it.
Also, we do give warnings on chat. They're called "infractions". And if I may point something else out, there are rules in a big, bright green box just above the chatroom. Those are easy to read and respect.

Hah, I find it funny that most of the haters were people very skilled at building, but who couldn't be bothered to respect the rules and were DQ'd. I can understand that they were angry and frustrated, but heh, Paril would have fired me a long time ago if there was any suspicion of rigging. Or at least, he'd have pulled my entry from the contest :p

Had. I'm not organizing contests alone anymore, because I'm sick and tired of wasting hours of work and making the map and the rules alone, just to hear PMC users complaining about how I rigged the contest to win and inflate my virtual ego, how I tried to disqualify the competition, and how basically everything I did was unfair towards one person or another.

Wrong, only good submissions get in the top 100, regardless of the creator. Even if you're unknown, make good stuff and you'll be finalist.

It might be more true for project contests though, since skin contests usually have 2000+ entries, so yours might more easily get lost in the shuffle.

KrettsI severely dislike how builders are not only not willing to consider criticism, but are often outright hostile towards it.

I dislike when people make generalizations, and think that a small sample represents the whole population.

Fun scientific fact of the day: both the Arctic and Antarctic are thriving with life and biodiversity. Look under the sea.

For people who actually want to do some research, 2 projects belonging to the Census of Marine Life initiative: CaML (Census of Antarctic Marine Life) (I actually took part in a tiny tiny portion of this one), and ArcOD (Arctic Ocean Diversity), right there.

For those who need convincing, here's an Amphipod Crustacean living in the Antarctic Ocean. Beautiful.

Can't answer your first point because I suck at computers, but your second point is on our list: max submission length will be increased. Soon. Ish.

No worries, you weren't actively suggesting people to break rules, it was just a friendly reminder

Please keep in mind that such conversion are not to be uploaded as PMC submissions, as they break the "program-made content' rule. Thanks.

Quaellen_WinsWhile i realize that the moderators go through alot with what they do, they should not be giving answers like "When it's up"

What should we answer then, when there's still a big chunk to be written, and we all have personal lives that prevent us from writing one section of the rules in a day (or even in a week)?
I think it's better to adopt the Valve Stance ("when it's done"), rather than make promises we won't be able to keep, otherwise we'll be even more swamped by members complaining that we didn't make X or Y when we said we would (cue the eternal routine of mods being lazy [censored] who only move their [censored] when they can ban people :p ).

Moderator's don't remove submission that don't break the rules. If you have a problem with a mod's decision, PM him, or a mod of equal or higher rank. Don't make forum threads to complain, especially if you're being rude. Thanks.

Keep in mind, Moderators have a life.

If I may add, some of us are actually adults, with an IRL job, a family and a personal life. Since PMC for them is just a hobby and a place to relax and have fun, I find it silly (to be polite) that some people think we're so abusive and "out to get them".
