It's also a good idea to work on your grammar and spelling a bit more. It's hard to take someone seriously if they can't even spell right.

First of all, PlanetMinecraft really isn't the place to ask for developers. If you want a good developer, try SpigotMC.
Second, you shouldn't just expect people to work a few hours every day for someone else for nothing. Developing is something that takes years to learn, and most servers (even new ones) are paying at least US minimum wage, and normally more. Learning Java really well can take years.

Recognition and credit is worth almost nothing unless you have at least an average of 1k players, and even then chances are other server networks will never have heard of your own.

Probably you want a plugin called PermissionsEx. It allows you to create user groups (Admin, donator, member, etc) with specific permissions for each group. Google it, there are lots of tutorials out there.
If you plan to be a server admin, it's a good idea to know how everything works without having someone else do it for you.

Lucky, if you want devs (and you will definitely need some if you plan to stand out among the hundred or so servers) maybe offer some kind of payment. I've said it before, but making things like minigames can take at least a week to develop at two hours a day. Other servers are offering $15/hr 2hrs/day, maybe do something like that?

    Hey Kalibi,

First of all, you should be offering some kind of payment. Java and plugin development can take years to be really master, and making plugins takes a lot of time and energy. Can you give any good reason why a Java dev would want to stop making money and take time to help you? You didn't really give anything reason like that in your post.

Also, I'm a bit offended that you want 17+ aged teens. Is that because of the nature of your content, or because you don't think younger devs can make good plugins? I've worked for three different servers in the past, made multiple minigames and gotten paid for all at the age of 14. I take pride that I've nearly mastered the plugin API.

Lastly, if you want anyone to join, especially adults who need to support themselves with current jobs, offer at least $15/hr. Check out the SpigotMC forums under the Server Recruitment section to see what other people are offering.

Hey Vox, are you offering any kind of payment for devs? I would assume with your choice of wording (hiring) that you are, but you don't mention it anywhere else.
If you want good devs, please remember that it takes a *very* long time to be considered a good dev. Also, making plugins takes longer then you'd think. If you want people to develop for you instead of working or making money for free, thing again.

Hey Grump, how about offering some sort of incentive?
Most devs are a bit busy, and being considered a highly skilled dev really requires months (in some cases years) of dedication learning Java and the Spigot API.

    Hey Krampo,

I'm a Minecraft plugin dev. I've worked for multiple servers before (mostly making minigames), and I'd be willing to make a plugin for you.
Sounds like you want people to acquire a rank based on playtime; sounds fairly simple. I'll do it $15, just PM me the details.

Oh, and reading through your post again; it would be a much better idea to get a custom Crate plugin rather then use a regular one. Much less buggy, and the bugs that do occur can be fixed. Otherwise, you'll either be digging through someone else's code on GitHub (which isn't SO bad) or you can wait a week or so for the plugin owner to patch the bug and release.

    I may as well apply.
I'm 15, and I'm a professional Bukkit coder. I can configure plugins, but here you say you need a developer, not a plugin config admin. I normally make minigames, but of course do lots of other work. I've worked for three servers before this.
I'm willing to create and configure plugins for $5/hr USD. I normally would charge more, but I really like how you laid out your request (no grammatical/spelling errors). You wouldn't believe the amount of people who post a few lines of text that look like it was done on a train with a smartphone.

You can check out my GitHub for most of the plugins I've done: http://www.github.com/scarabcoder
You can also check out my YouTube channel for a few timelapses and plugin showcases: http://www.youtube.com/scarabcoder

You can add me on Skype: scarabcoder

    Thank you!

Hey, here's a fun challenge. That other person requesting the social media plugin probably wanted to allow players to actually tweet from ingame.
You can do this with Twitter4J, and I think it would be a great idea. For example, the plugin could auto-tweet as them (with their permission of course) when they rankup in a game, or if they win a minigame.
Using the Java Twitter API is a challenge, but it's really fun

Hey, I'm a Spigot plugin developer.
I'm mostly a minigame developer, though I can do general features as well. I've done minigames like Infection and KitPvP, as well as my own original mix on tag.
You can check me out on my GitHub page.
I'm not interested in any full time position, but I can do single plugins for separate prices.

I really don't mind it. The kind of servers that would literally have pay-to-win I wouldn't want to play on anyway. I can understand smaller things with special classes that may be a bit more powerful, but not invincible. Just please remember that these servers can cost hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. Then, the server owner has to work almost full time on the server instead of at a job, so all this is coming from pocket. I don't see exactly how else he could even allow the server to exist... The server has to pay for his own bills as well as for the server.

    I'm confused.
Is purpleprison.co your own website? If so, what are you currently using to display it? Someone's HTML code, or a program like Enjinn or Wordpress?
If you want someone to change the website from it's code, that won't work if you are using a 3rd party to make the website. Are you asking for a recreation of the website?
